What an awesome day. I'm just returning from the CMV Public Health & Policy Conference in Salt Lake City. The conference was organized by Utah State University and the Utah Department of Health, and attended by physicians, healthcare professionals, medical students, academics, non-profit agencies, parents and advocates. I learned a lot about the current state of CMV research and policy in the United States, and heard some really inspiring stories from parents and physicians. Unfortunately there is still some controversy from the medical community pertaining to cCMV, specifically around how to prevent, screen, diagnose, and treat the condition. Parents and advocates must call for change, and I'll be asking for your help.
Stay tuned for updates regarding the National CMV Foundation - we'll be sharing tips and data soon!
