I See You

Yesterday was another great day. Evelyn passed her eye exam, and according to Dr. Sears, CMV has not affected her retina or optic nerves and she has not acquired a secondary infection. He doesn't want to see her again until her first birthday. This is a HUGE victory!

Evelyn is also on day 4 of her treatment, and she seems to be tolerating it well. She has not experienced any side effects and her blood counts look good (in fact they seem to be improving). Another positive win!

Last night we went out with friends to celebrate, it was really nice to drink a few beers and feel like our old selves again. We stopped by the hospital on the way home to tuck in our peanut for the night and it was practically a party here. These nurses are amazing people. They are truly special and have made this whole experience as pleasant as it possibly could be.
